Turkmenistan’s primary sources of tea imports were the United Arab Emirates ($2.88 million), China ($2.81 million), Russia ($486,000), India ($347,000), and Georgia ($191,000). These figures underscore Turkmenistan’s reliance on diverse tea origins to cater to its domestic tea consumption.

The Fastest Growing Import Markets

Between 2020 and 2021, Turkmenistan experienced an exceptional surge in tea imports from China, amounting to an impressive $2.5 million. The United Arab Emirates and India also showcased significant growth as tea suppliers, with imports increasing by $656,000 and $306,000, respectively.
